ROOT CANAL TREATMENT

-

It is a treatment that removes infected tissue from the canals of the roots.

WHAT IS A ROOT CANAL?

-

A root canal treatment is necessary when the soft tissue inside the tooth (pulp) gets infected and causes pulpitis. Usually it happens when a tooth is badly decayed and the pulp gets inflamed and then infected. Many times this infection causes pain but it can also be painless. The nerve and the blood vessels in the pulp get infected and if not treated – turns into dead tissue. Then infection spreads further to the jawbone and so it can create a dental abscess.

WHAT IS THE TREATMENT?

-

Endodontic treatment is the solution. The goal of this treatment is to remove all the infected soft tissue from inside of the root canals and then obturate them. Sometimes antibiotics are necessary to help your body fight against infection.

WHAT IS A ROOT CANAL RETREATMENT?

-
